U Values

New government legislation state that from October 2010 all new doors will have to adhere to a door u value rating of 1.8W/m2K or less.

For those of you wondering ‘what is a U value?’; it is the measurement of heat transfer through a given building material, glass, etc. Basically it is a reference as to how energy efficient your new door will be. Each and every composite door that Door-Stop manufactures and delivers is U value compliant. To back this up Door-Stop will be providing each door with an independently verified certificate. Each U value compliance certificate will be tailored to your specific door set-up.
